They thought the nightmare was over... that no one would have to endure the wrath of Jenova again. It had been years since the operations of the Shinra Power Electric Company were stopped. No one thought that the existence of Makonoids would ever see the light of day.

That was, until someone discovered the lab. This lab, containing over 10,000 vials filled with cells of Mako, was kept a secret from the government. The scientist who founded the lab offers anyone with enough potential to blessed with power of Mako.

Mako is the life energy artificially reproduced to those who are capable of containing its power. Welcome brethren of the Mako state. I am Professor Kiryu.

I will inject within you the cells of the great Jenova, allowing you access to some of the most powerful magic in existence. However, please know that all of this power comes with a price. For one day, you will be forced to endure the pain of your own power.

Before becoming a Makonoid, you must follow the rules:

No person may have another sub-race along when requesting for cells.
No one may ask for more than what they are given.
The Makonoids are not a clan. You are entitled to any other clan you wish even if you have a mark.
If you are infracted, you will be unable to use your Makonoid power.

Below shows the various powerups you can gain from Makonoid cells:

Permanent Strength Boost +35%
Permanent Defense Boost +35%
Permanent Magic Boost +35%
Permanent Dexterity Boost +35%

Request what you wish for once you ask to become a Makonoid. Your stat choices will be updated into the database. Below, you will be recorded as a Makonoid. Your timer will wind down each day; until three weeks are done, and you must begin the test to keep your Makonoid powers. If you fail, your power will be unavailable to you until you pass your test. Anyone can help you, whether they be a Makonoid or otherwise.
