Deep within the catacombs of the earth, where no man unaugmented dared to travel, lied a being in stasis...

Some thought of it as a dormant god, locked away in a deep slumber by the earth's petulance. Others considered it an omen, a hell-wrought prophecy of horrible things to come. However, none are correct.

It is the Fal'Cie; a creature long forgotten by time. Its name is Infinity. This strange being, plagued by the violence of the earth, was forced into a static state of immobilization; never capable of movement. And thus, it made due... and began its search for those to fulfill its legacy.

Infinity has branded those with nothing to their name with marks known only on the planet of Gran Pulse as l'Cie brands. You are now face-to-face with this towering behemoth... and he has chosen you. Gain the magic of a l'Cie and fufill your Focus.

Welcome to the Fal'Cie's quarters. I am Infinity.

I will grant you the power of a l'Cie. This will entail that you will be given enhanced performance and strength, as well as access to magic exclusive to l'Cie only. While you have gained this power, you will also have to fulfill something for me in return: the completion of your Focus. A Focus is a goal you must complete for you to be capable of keeping your l'Cie brand.

Completing your Focus will require the use of only your l'Cie abilities and what they entail. If you do not complete your Focus in time, however, you will be forced to endure life as a Cie'th, with half of your spells taken away from you and your l'Cie powers revoked. By that point, someone else must complete the Focus in your stead, however; they may only be another l'Cie. After becoming a Cie'th, you may choose to renounce your title as a l'Cie. However, you may not ask for it again for a week's period.

The magic you will gain is usable in all battles, and you will gain the active ability to Summon automatically. The techniques you are capable of utilizing are the Paradigm Shifts. Look to the spell database for more information.

Here are the rules for becoming a l'Cie:

No person requesting for a brand may have another sub-race.
No one may request for more than they are offered.
Any l'Cie given an infraction will not be eligible to use their power. In the case of them using it, they will be banned for cheating.
The l'Cie are not a clan, they are a sub-race. You are entitled to any other clan you wish even if you have a mark.

Below will show the table on the sets you may request for along with a l'Cie Brand.

Essentially, you should request it like this:

I would like a l'Cie Brand with the Ambidextrous set.

Your request will be processed and accepted, with your stat choices updated into the database. You are posted below the line break as a l'Cie, with your current Focus. Every Focus lasts for a period of two weeks, where you are able to combat the foe you were given. Anyone is allowed to join you on your l'Cie quests, and they gain Cie'th Stone points for the completion of that Focus. After completing your Focus, you will be capable of using your mark for another two weeks without another Focus. Once the two weeks are up, you may be given another Focus once more at any point in time by me.
